FAQ's
Here are just a few of the questions that we get asked the most. Got a question that’s not answered below? Just email us at support@chapter25bookclub.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
You’ll receive a welcome email from us within 48 hours of signing up, which will contain all the information you need. We’ll confirm the book for the current month as well as any already chosen for the following months. Links will be provided to join the WhatsApp group for your location (which is where all event details and announcements are shared) and our WhatsApp communities (where you can chat with members from all locations and discuss the monthly books).
If you’re a Book & Meet-Up member, you’ll receive your book in the post within 7 days.
What happens after I sign up?​
We send out a survey to our members to vote for the top 3 genres they’d like to read for the next 3 months. We then research and choose a book for each of the winning genres.
We love that our members have a huge part to play in which books and genres we read.
How are the books chosen each month?
The meet-up date will completely depend on the book club location you join however, it will be the same day each month (e.g the first Monday of the month). Most meet-ups start at 7:30pm however, you can check your location on our website for specific details.
What day and time do we meet up?
If you’re a Book & Meet-Up member and already own a copy of the chosen book, please let us know within 24 hours of the book announcement (or if you’re a new member, 24 hours from when we send your welcome email) and we’ll provide a list of alternative books for you to choose from instead.
You can still join in with the meet-up, it’ll just ensure you don’t receive an unnecessary copy of a book you already own!
What happens if I already own the chosen book?
If you’re a Book & Meet-Up member and can’t attend the meet-up one month, you’ll need to submit a postage request (in line with our shipping policy and terms and conditions) and we can get your book shipped to you instead.​
How do I receive my book if I can’t attend the meet-up?
Unfortunately not. Although some of our venues may be dog friendly during their usual opening hours, for the safety of our members and insurance purposes, we cannot allow pets at our meet-ups, other than service and assistance dogs.
Can I bring my dog to The Book Club meet-ups?

Who should I contact if I have any questions about my membership or payments?​
Our memberships have a three month minimum and then you can cancel anytime by simply dropping us an email.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
We’re always super interested to find wonderful new hosts for new book club locations. If you’re interested in hosting a book club with Chapter 25, please get in touch with us today!
Can I host a book club?
Is the venue where my book club is held accessible?
Whilst we always try to secure accessible venues, the availability of venues that can cater to the book club isn’t as wide as we’d like and therefore, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that they will be always be fully accessible. Please check with the venue before signing up to discuss accessibility with them as they will be able to advise best.
We urge members to check trigger warnings for any books they read (including books picked for their club) and make an informed decision as to if they'd like to read them. Click here to check trigger warnings online. You can also use Goodreads or Amazon as readers will often raise any triggering themes in their reviews of the book.
